Oh my goodnes...my poor neglected blog.
I am starting the year off right this time.
God has been good to me and Life has been good...Since September 11th...I have been a lot of places...seen a lot of faces...met all kinds. Went several times to the beach...spent prime time with family and friends. Created some things and now I am going to purge some things. Things like unwanted supplies...out of date paper, ribbon, stamps, paper and punches. Hmmmm...shall we say craft sale or yard sale.

My nieces and nephews are growing up much too fast!

Happy New Year...God is so good! We have so much to be thankful for. It's a new year and I can't wait to see how it will unfold. Life is good...I got my health, He gives me strength and I have a wonderful husband, lots of friends and a loving family. There is a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food on the table. I guess you could say I'm rich...It's not always about the money you know. I am a child of God and He loves me. Like I said...God is so good and life is good too!

Last Day in 2010...

WOW!!! It's hard to believe this year is ending. I have been a lot of places...met a lot of faces...spent time with friends and family. There is one thing that stays on my mind..."The Best Is Yet To Come"!!! As I look back on all that has happened this year...I can still say without reservation that "God Has Been Good To Me" and for that I am eternally grateful. I have searched the world over and I still can't find nobody greater than "Jesus Christ". I am looking forward to the "New Year" and what it will bring.

The card below is one I made this summer and I thought the words were very appropriate for "New Years Day"! I love butteflies and I think they will be used a lot on cards, projects and many other crafts. Some of the supplies I used are Martha Stewart big butterfly punch...Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels...Gina K Stamps...Bazzill Bling...Vellum & Bling...and for the life of me I can't remember the designer papers name...

May you be abundantly blessed this coming year and may you find Peace in the midst of storms...

Yep...I have been MIA!!!
Oh well...time sure does fly by when you are having fun and living...
Here's what I have been doing since my last post...been a lot of places...seen a lot of faces...spent time with old friends...met some new friends...went to the beach twice...went to some stamp conventions...visited the farmers market...spent time with family and all while making some cards...which by the way is my passion to create. Here's a few pictures I took along my journey while I was MIA!!!! Enjoy....

It's been a while since I posted I know. Busy, Busy, Busy is all I can say for it. I have been to the beach and spent some quality time with some very dear friends. I did manage to create a few cards while there. Pictures coming soon. The weather was absolutely beautiful...and the sunrises were awesome. All in all my weekend was fabulous. Had to go to a funeral today of a dear mother in our church. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. I am wonderfully blessed by having you stop by my blog today!

It's Day 23 of my Card A Day Challenge. This is a card I made while at my weekend gettaway using my new Gina K Designs "Lovely Labels" stamp set. The craft paper is edge distressed with the new Tim Holtz distress ink. The new stamps line up with several of the Nestibilities labels, this is Labels One. They are "GORJUSS" and you can make really quick Clean and Simple cards with them. Card paper is Paper Trey Inks Kraft, White and one of the new In Colors from Stampin-Up. Inks are Memento Rich Cocoa and Stampin-Up In Color markers. Martha Stewart Butterfly with pearl accent on the body. Ribbon from AC Moore. Tomorrows card will be another Clean and Simple card. It's Day 22 of my Card A Day Challenge and all is still well with my soul. As I said on yesterday, I took a little weekend gettaway with some friends. We had a wonderful time creating, learning, shopping, laughing and eating. Not necessarily in that order of course. This is a card I made while there with my new silhouette stamp from Hampton Arts. I love it. This was also my first time using the sponging technique. I really liked doing that. Don't you just love that Spellbinders label. Makes doing a card a breeze. Happy Valentine's Day Dear Ones...
It's Day 14 of my Card A Day Challenge and all is well with my soul. I am so glad that Jesus loves us so much. We had a great time with our church family and our family at home as well. My little neice had a visit from her grandpa and she wrote a very special Valentine to him. Now mind you she is only 10 years old and had never met this grandpa because she was not even born when he was alive. He came from heaven to her in a dream and he left a special message for her grandmother from him. He said for her to tell grandma that he still loved her. As her daddy read it to us...we all sat around the kitchen table with tears flowing from our eyes and that made our Valentine's Day just right. Love is what it's all about. Make memories when you can...this one will always be in our hearts. I am so excited about this coming week as I will be attending a ladies sleepover at a friends house on Friday. It's Day 7 of my Card A Day Challenge....I made it a full week! This has been so much fun sharing all of my card creations with you. We are so blessed the power returned last night and we thank God for His goodness to give it back earlier than expected. Now for the card today...it is a Clean and Simple card for a quick "Birthday" need. Just pick out your stamp, get out the ink, stamp your image...then stamp off, add the sentiment and some glitter...BAM!!!! Super quick and easy-peasy.

First we have had power outages in our area all day. So I didn't think that I would be able to get it done today. But look a our God...Thanks be to Him we now have power two days earlier than expected. He is Awesome!!! Hats off to AEP!!! For all those who like us did not fully prepare for a power outage...Get flash light batteries, x-tra water, battery operated radio, candles, etc. Make yourself an "Emergency Kit"!!! Me Oh My...How Time Does Fly!
Oh well...yesterday we had 12 inches of snow in our town. I spent most of the day worrying about my poor husband who had to be out in that storm all night. Nevertheless, he made it home safely and he is now out using his snowblower...which by the way had only been used maybe once or twice in the last 8 years...since we have not had enough snow to use it. He is blessing a few of our next door neighbors as well. He is a super guy to do that after working over 24 hours at work at our local hospital. That's just the kind of "Man of God" he is. I on the other had did manage to get a card made yesterday too. I am challenging myself once again to do a card a day on this blog. I can only hope that I can meet it. Happy New Year...2010!
God is so good! He has allowed us to see another "New Year". I am so grateful and thankful for His continued grace and mercy. He loves us so much we can't even imagine the depth of His love. I just know that I am glad I am His and He is mine. I'm just sitting here watching the Tournament of Roses Parade and it is beautiful. WOW!!! It's September and Fall is in the air...a little nippy this morning but it felt so good. I am feeling a since of Fall all around me. Festivals are gearing up to start and I can't wait. Where has the time gone. Let's see...We finished our Youth Convention which went right into our Family Reunion. Family is so important. Happy Birthday To Me...Yesterday was my birthday and I had a wonderful day. My husband treated me to dinner and mad money...My friend at work treated me to breakfast and break at work. Oh My Gosh...I have got to get a handle on this blogging thing. I am so far behind I can't see in front of me. I am so sorry I have been a bad girl in blogging. Let's see now...what have I been doing? Well...I went on a Scrapbooking Retreat the end of April...Made over 50 cards. Had a wonderful time with my "Peeps". We are the Scrappy Chicks!! Still got to take pictures to share with you. I took a trip to Richmond to visit family. Then there's Mother's Day!!! It's still so hard to celebrate this holiday since my Mom went home to be with the Lord. I miss her so much. I just thank God her spirit is always with me and she lives in my heart. Love ya...MOM!!!

Hello Everyone..
I had a great Easter and I hope you did as well. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still among the living. It's been a while since I posted as I have been very busy. I am getting ready for a Scrapbooking Retreat at Smith Mountain Lake. YEAH....baby 3 full days of nothing but me time. My sweetie and I got up and went to the MS Walk at our local park this morning. Having had Polio...I could identify with the MS survivors. I have post polio syndrome but I can still walk. I only walked 1.6 miles but to God Be The Glory I made it that far with His help. I am still standing with His help. It has been a beautiful day in Virginia. I got to touch a real Llama today. Felt kinda funny and fuzzy. They have such a cute face. It's still good to be alive. I can't believe it's almost Spring. What happens to the time. I think I can get some things done and all of a sudden weeks have gone by and I am standing still. Oh well...I did have a Stampin-Up Workshop and 20 of my friends showed up. WOW!!! What a wonderful show. I am going to get so much "FREE" stuff to make cards with. I can't wait to get it so I can finally share my creations with you. I see the ocean in the near future. That's right our Ladies Ministry is going to Myrtle Beach for our Annual Spring "Baptist Babes At The Beach" gettaway! Three days of Scrapping, Cardmaking, Knitting, Crocheting, Shopping, Reading and Eating. Just pure Christian fellowship and fun with friends. Making memories along the way.

WOW!!! What a day. My "Wonderful Husband" took me out for the day to all of my favorite craft stores. What a nice Valentine present. I don't drive. We had a great time. I found lots of things I wanted to get. First off to A.C.Moore where I found some great clear stamps. I then went to Michaels to pick up my Martha Stewart bunny punch. Whew...glad I tried it out before I left the store. I had a dud and switched it before I left the store. I wanted to make sure it would punch through cardstock. Went to Target and got some organizational supplies. Dirt cheap all of a sudden. What's up with that? Off to Hobby Lobby for the 1/2 price sale on stamps and paper. Got the 2 stamps I wanted for Easter. Glad I waited. Then I went to a couple of local scrapbook stores. Got Memories and The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room. I just love Betty and Eric's place. Then he took me to dinner at a new place in Mayodan, NC called the Mountainside Resturant. Ummmmm...Ummmmm...the meal was great. Dinner for two was only $26.00 and that included drink and dessert. He had a huge rib-eye steak and I had BBQ ribs. Both meals came with roasted potatoes and green beans, tossed salad and yeast roll. He got Red Velvet cake and I got Strawberry Shortcake for dessert...and it was delicious. We met a couple we knew there. We had a great time of fellowship. God is so good to us. As always it's good to be alive and in love. We have been married soon to be 36 years. Life's good and I am enjoying the journey. Thanks for stopping by. TTFN...

It's Family Reunion Time in Richmond, VA. WOW!!!99 Family members came. The Hotel was fab and the food was great. Lots of fun memories of both young and old. Looking out at everyone that was there...were a lot of miracles among us. One member had an aneurysm of the brain and lived to tell about, one had a heart transplant and is doing great with his new heart. God Is Awesome!!! There is nothing like love among your family. We had singing, poems, skits, DVD reflections and of course the Fashion Show 2009. A great time was had by all. We took lots and lots of pictures. Thanks for stopping by! TTFN...

Oh My Gosh!!! I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted. I first want to say I am sorry and to please forgive me. Bad blogger...bad blogger...Since I last posted I have been terribly busy. Our church had an anniversary, Thanksgiving weekend was a blast with family and I still got my Christmas shopping to do. Not much to buy. I have been sick for over two weeks and this stuff in my head just won't seem to clear up. Have not felt much like making anything. Nevertheless, no matter what...Christmas is coming and there is no sense in worrying about it. "Jesus Is The Reason For The Season" and that's all that matters. This week a dear friend of my husband and I passed away. He was only in his 50's. That was too young. He also pastored a church. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. I know it's been a couple of weeks since I posted but I have been very busy. I went to a Stamp Convention last weekend and I did not take my laptop with me. I have lots to share with everyone in the coming weeks. We are planning a Fall Fest at our church for next weekend. I will post some pics from that adventure. I am also planning to go to a Crop For a Cure on World Cardmaking Day on October 4th. A family Fishing trip to Topsail Island is in the plans for October as well. I have got to get

It's good to be alive and God has been so good 2 me! I have a wonderful family and it was so good to see all of them today. Family reunions are just the best. You get to meet all of those cousins that you hardly ever get to see and even some you didn't know you had. I really miss my Mom too. She would have loved to have been there with everyone. It's a good day and it's good to be alive. I don't take life for granted. God has been good to me and for that I am eternally grateful. We had a great time visiting with family today. There were so many cousins I did not know there. Still don't know...Smile. I was so impressed with how many of our young family members are choosing to come to the old home place for our family reunion. I am the oldest grandchild on my grandmother's (my mom's mother) side of the family. There were children everywhere playing and running around just like we used to do when we were young. It's Friday,God is faithful and it's good to be alive. I had a great time today. Went up to Hillsville, VA. It's the biggest flea market that takes place every year. This was the 41st year for it. Thousands and thousands of people...it's unbelievable. Lots of walking and eating. There are hundreds and hundreds of vendors too. It's really no way you can see it all. I had fun hanging out with my best friend, who just happens to be my darling husband. My family reunion is this weekend and family comes home from miles around. What a wonderful day God has blessed me with. He allowed me to see another sunrise and sunset. We take so much for granted this day and time. We had a great time at church today and our pastor really gave us some spiritual food for thought. The Word blessed my soul greatly. I have a thought for you today as well..."A Moment For You". Hello Everyone!
What a wonderful day and it's good to be alive! Spent the day with my best friend who just happens to be my husband. Started out at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Don't you just love to go there to eat and get in a little shopping too. Then it was off to our usual stops at Sam's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore and of course The Stamping Room. Then there was the trip to Archdale...KC Hobby. He got a RC Flight Simulator. He is learning how to fly Remote Control Airplanes. I may never get to my computer again. HA!!! HA!!! It's his toy. I got some really cute Christmas stamps today. And yes, you may ask yourself why is she buying Christmas stamps now. Well, I have learned that if you don't get them when they first come out, you won't see them in a few weeks and the stores usually only get them one time. Especially the new ones for 2008. T.G.I.F. in a big way! Had a great day. Need lots of prayer for a dear friend who has an illness. Went to ladies night out at a neighbor church tonight. Our project was to make thank you cards for 300 people. Mission accomplished. Whew!!!! Lotta stamping. We usually get done with our projects. These are a great bunch of ladies. Team work is great!!! My mouse died to my laptop yesterday. I am not so good at using the keyboard. I love a mouse. Getting me another one tomorrow. Enjoy this fabulous creation. Day 15, 16 & 17 Back From CK Convention...

Hello Everyone...
Sorry to be 2 days behind with posting. Just getting back from CK Convention. We had a great time. Spent too much money of course. Got me a Crop-A-Dile. The girls selling it were kind enough to show me how to use it and I was sold. That thing always looked so intimadating to me, but it's not hard to use once you figure it out. The Spellbinders booth was there but they did not have the new dies. The Sizzix booth sold out of the multipurpose platforms the first day. I found me a pack of Stella Ruby cardstock. I love that paper. Got a few stamps, a couple of punches too. All of the classes were sold out my friend and I wanted to take. Guess we better sign up for classes on-line next time. We met some great new friends. My friend also won a door prize. She won a $15.00 gift certificate from one of the vendors. I was happy for her. We stayed at the Hilton which was the host hotel for the convention. Check out our bed and that great big 42" flat screen in our room. It was fabulous.

I guess she no longer is allowing me to use her "free" header. I really liked it too. Oh well, it was neat to have while I had it. Onward and upward. I found another soothing one I liked. We are ordaining a new pastor of one of our churches tonight. She is a faithful and beautiful women of God. I enjoy her messages and she will be of great service to our community. Well, It's been a good day. Today is the 3rd day of our convention and I am posting a little earlier this evening. These 2 cards were made at the same time as the other 2 I posted earlier in the week. This layout is so easy and I love this stamp set from Stampin-Up. Yahoooo....I got to see the new Stampin-up catty today. It has lots of new sets and punches too. I have already picked out several sets that are a "must have". Day 6 Worshipful Wednesday...

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. It is day 2 of our Convention and we are blessed. Tonight's message was "I Know Who I Am" meaning in the Lord. It is so important to know who you are in Christ Jesus. Christ died for us so that we might live in Him. Great message from a true child of God.
